Chuck nelson - preaching elder
Our Preaching Elder is Chuck Nelson. He has been with The Cross | Erie since it's inception. Before coming to The Cross | Erie, he served as Director of Ministries at a church in the suburbs of Erie, Director of Elementary Ministry at a church in Missouri. Chuck has a BA in Religion from Lindenwood University, a M.Div from Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary and is in the process of earning a D.Min in Missional Leadership from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He has done adjunct work in the Religion Department at Mercyhurst University as well as other speaking at conferences usually in regards to urban ministry, poverty, addictions, and church planting. He has been married to Betsy since '07 and has two daughters, Lydia Grace and Sophia Faith. His favorite hobbies are reading, going to restaurants, and wrestling.
John Park - elder
John is a graduate JohnJohn is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine with a D.O., and practices Family Medicine in the Erie area. John has attended the cross for over five years, and has been an elder for over a year. He also serves as the treasurer and worship leader at the church. Throughout his time in Erie, John has been involved as a volunteer with Cru and as an active volunteer in the local community. His ministry focus is on college ministry, worship, and community.

Adam Boaks -
Pastoral Apprentice
Adam has been attending The Cross for over five years, and has been on staff with The Cross | Urban Missions each summer since 2018. He also leads worship, and has been involved in the production of original music with the church. Adam is a graduate of Penn State Behrend with a BS of Biology, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Adam is also currently working with Cru at Penn State Behrend. He has been married to Hannah for one year and looks forward to the ministry ahead!
